“Horticulture is the science and art of…

producing, improving, marketing, and using fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants. It differs from botany and other plant sciences in that horticulture incorporates both science and aesthetics.”

-American Society for Horticultural Science

This Winnipeg-based business is owned and operated by Katherine Gosselin.  Although having studied architecture, photography and environmental design, this Horticulturist puts practicality before aesthetics.  While working in garden maintenance and garden design she gained an appreciation for landscapes that not only look fantastic when installed but that can be easily maintained to remain beautiful and be enjoyed for years to come.

Katherine chose a career in gardening and obtained a Diploma in Horticulture because she wholeheartedly values the benefits of gardening. In a fast-passed society, gardening can serve as a much needed reminder of how rewarding it is to invest time and be patient.  It also encourages physical activity and can even provide a sense of purpose.  While connecting with and gaining an appreciation for nature, gardening can improve the health of humans and wildlife alike.
